How do you work a cash register?

I got this new job I start soon and I'm a little nervous. I have to start as a cashier. I've run some cash registers , but the one on this track is complicated. The ticket office, I use to be less automated and running on this track I will be able to implement the checks and food stamps do. I'm nervous because I've never done that before. I think that when they teach you not have someone there by you all the time, but once they show you and let you go on your own. I do not want to mess anything up.

If you get stuck just ask for help! I know you want to impress and you do not want to be asked for help all the time. but I was your boss, knowing that your new, I make sure I had trained you, and you asked for help at any time you needed it! after all your taking the money from the customer that everyone pays wages. what I am saying is that they will not let you mess up
