Personalized gifts and diaper bags are really a popular item at baby showers today, but why? Does the baby really care or are there items that are more important. When you are pregnant and having your first baby shower I don’t think you really care what you get.
When you have a baby shower you are more excited to be given love and support because you are already so scared at the time that nothing else seems to matter. So what if you are having a boy but you get pink, will the baby really care? Knowing you aren’t having this baby alone is what matters the most.
When someone takes the time to get you a personalized blanket with baby’s name on it, it shows you that they paid attention to details. When you receive a personalized gift you know that you can pass the gift down to your child as he or she grows up. I know my children still carry around blankets that were given to them with their name on them. I think a personalized gift is more of a personal gift than a more traditional gift such as clothes.
When you give a diaper bag there is so many things that you can do with it to make it special. You can fill it with diapers, you can fill it with baby items, you can fill it with medical supplies or you can just leave it empty. Diaper bags are always going to come in handy and the way most moms are today they don’t just have one, they have several to swap out.
I think for first time moms what we think of when we have a baby shower is that is one less dollar I have to spend which in turn saves us money. We get so excited and happy to have a baby shower; it is something that is given in our honor to show that we are loved.
I really think that it don’t make a difference rather you give a diaper bag or a personalized gift, it’s the thought that counts. When our family and friends come together and show us love and support that is all that matters. Every present that we receive is more money we can spend on the baby later on. So it is up to you which you think is more efficient.
